iPhone won't restore #43

I have a UK OTB iphone which i had downgraded to v1.1.1 activated and
jailbroken.

I wanted to upgrade this version to 1.1.2, so started following the
tutorial to do so. I installed oktoprep and went to update the iphone
through itunes to 1.1.2.

I got an error and tried to use ibrickr to get it out of dfu mode, but
ibrickr wasn't detecting the iphone. The screen on the phone was just the
cable and itunes logo, but no yellow triangle or anything like that. I
tried itunes again, but i kept getting the itunes could not restore
message. I found a post of someone mentioning using apptapp installer with
the iphonecomm tool, this worked and restored the iphone into normal mode.

But the thing is, everytime i now try and restore the iphone using itunes,
it just won't work, it will say it is preparing the iphone to be restored
but will just error out. So i have to keep using the iphonecomm tool to
boot it into normal mode.

Does anyone else know how i can fix this problem? Or even suggest what has
went wrong with it?

UPDATE: When using ibrickr, i get these errors -

ex_findphone
s_iBrickr version: 0.91
s_iPhoneInterface
e_Problem registering main callback: -402653180
USBMuxListenerCreate: No error
