Also note that you don't need to add a separate ppa to install yad - it's in the regular universe repo according to my machine: https://starbeamrainbowlabs.com/bin/l2j5/ (see the bottom entry)

Feel free to correct the information about yad, then I'll merge it. Thanks for your help.

Done.

I realised that the yad package in the ubuntu universe was out of date, so I added a quick apt-add-repository command instead of the other thing you had.
