Were you aware that I'm working on a Gtk+ version of silentcast? Would you be willing to test it for me?

In order to make it, you may need to install dev packages. People on Ubuntu have needed to do this:

sudo apt-get install libgtk-3-dev

Make and test it by checking out branch "next", run make, and run silentcast from the terminal with ./silentcast. If the icon is wrong, you can copy it to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/. Please try out the various mouse actions (that you can find out about by pressing F1) and also the keyboard shortcuts shown onscreen. Set desired outputs in F1->Configuration. Press "Return" to start recording and click the minimized silentcast icon to stop recording.
