Cache next/previous chapters? #77

My phone is a bit slow (600mhz), it can take a second or two when you swipe to 
go through to the next chapter. Would it be possible to cache the previous/next 
chapter as a background operation so that you get smoother switching? You could 
also perhaps do a sideways-page movement or some way of providing feedback as 
it's a bit unclear at the moment when you switching chapters. Perhaps you cache 
1 previous, 2 future chapters?

Likewise on startup it takes a second or two to load - perhaps you can cache 
the previous chapter that was open so it just takes you straight there?

I am afraid I can't feel sorry for you - I used to have a G1 ;-).  It took 4 
seconds to change page with ESV, much longer with KJV and Strongs.

I have added heaps of optimisation into the xml parsing as it is to get it this 
fast.  I think it used to take about 12 seconds to change page when I first 
started last year.

A possible enhancement might be to provide continuous vertical scrolling with 
just a visual marker (horizontal line?) for chapter divisions.

Providing the swipe action has a modicum of "anti-skid braking", this would 
make the transition to the next chapter much easier for continuous reading of a 
large chunk of scripture. Especially attractive for tablets, for which screen 
size may be similar to a Kindle, Kobo or Nook.

Such an option might be wisely enabled/disabled in And Bible settings.

I don't have any current plans to add this functionality because of the added 
complexity and the speed improvements we see in more modern phones.

However, performance did improve significantly with the JSword upgrade a few 
months ago.  Also, And Bible is one of the fastest Android Bible apps I have 
tested.
