Review the aspectj aspects for sync and async swt thread execution.
AspectJ editor shows that some of this crosscutting concerns do not match
anything.
Are they necessary at all? Useful? Can be improved/simplified? Or removed
alltogether?

eConference4 and its plugins (MT and P3) often crash when the program exits.
This happen very often but not always. It's not clear how to reproduce it
constantly, but it's almost sure that it depends on the some aspectj sync
issue, as this defect appeared after the thesis source code by Davide Aresta
was merged into the trunk
