9 years ago For now we are living on subdomains under by savagesoft.com because I have control of where it points to. I picked up a cheap virtual host on GoDaddy to get us started.
@MichaelRobak would you want the law school to purchase the domains?

9 years ago I'm offering these domains for this project and for the purpose of providing the domains to a group of city and/or other public entities of the United States that may (hopefully) in the future wish to adopt and carry forward the goals of this project. If UMKC wants to act as that sort of domain name escrow agent I'll be happy to transfer. It is sometimes a better fit for the project steward - especially when a steward of a group like Code for America - to play this type of role. But given UMKC is a public institution, and the disposition of the Dean, the university may be a good fit for this temporary name holding role.
The subdomain under your private domain seems a good fit for the time being. You technically just need server space you can config enough to set up OIDC for the indefinite future. Sounds like you have that. Good.

to get your stuff going you need a domain name (otherwise no URL callback or other stuff works) i have a few that are appropriate for your project i can donate to the cause, assuming the purpose is to develop something intended for eventual handoff to properly constituted municipalities of the United States. Let me know which of the following you want (if any) and let's transfer now (in case of delays) so it is ready to point at servers and such in time for PrototypeJam:
