Thanks for working with this as an example!

I'll merge this "in two months", once I get to add an upgrade step for migrating UUID based references into Reference objects. Or possibly I just keep the UUID-references (revert back to old implementation) and deprecate the behavior in favor of standard related items behavior. (The first versions of this add-on were born before we used plone.app.contenttypes; May 28, 2012.)

I'm not able to do this myself this year, but if someone wants to champion, I can give all the PyPI permissions required.

No need to implement any migration steps for me. I'll do them when I need them.
