DeaDBeeF not a supported music player? #9

So I use DeaDBeeF as my music play because of it's vast support of files while allowing me to edit the way it looks but I was wondering why it isn't supported? but when I load up VLC to play some videos it seems to register VLC as my main music player

It is supported, but it seems you need the MPRIS plugin. Otherwise soundbox can't communicate with DeaDBeeF.
