First off, this is a great applet that I use every day. Thank you for making it.
I've noticed one small bug that is a bit difficult to reproduce until you know the trick. I t was happening from time to time and I thought it was random at first, but then I finally figured out how to make it happen on demand. Here are the steps:
Open the places menu and hover over one of the options until the yellow tool-tip appears.
Click the option and the places menu closes and for a brief moment you will see the tool-tip flash again on the desktop before the chosen location opens.
If you are quick and begin moving the mouse away as the menu closes and the second tool-tip flashes (like moving to the window you know is about to open) then the tool-tip can get "orphaned" (for lack of a better word) on the desktop and just float there separate from the menu or anything else.
The tool-tip will just hang there regardless of whatever else you do with the mouse or other windows. The only way to clear it that I've found is to open the places applet again.
