This should also apply to +b (ban), since that has the same effect if the bannee is still in the room.
preventing them from typing would be bad, since it would prevent /commands. I have some ideas for this tho. Good idea
Also note that some servers support +z, which is reduced moderation. This means that only operators can see the messages of someone who would not normally be able to send messages. It would be more useful to at least see when someone is set mode +q, and to be able to see a list of the currently banned or +q'ed people.
When being disconnected, the title on the tab is greyed. Maybe it should look like that, but with red text for ban for example

I think this can be closed. Having the input box still visible is useful for typing commands still.

When force quiet or moderated (+q or +m) is put on, the text input box should change to reflect this; for example, by greying out or disappearing completely
