TypeError: Cannot read property 'scrollTo' of null, js engine: hermes #96

Describe the problem

App crashing when keyboard is visible for new user chat

What was the expected behavior?

User can able to chat with new user!

Log : TypeError: Cannot read property 'scrollTo' of null, js engine: hermes

Environment

"react-native": "0.73.6", "@cometchat/chat-sdk-react-native": "^4.0.7", "@cometchat/chat-uikit-react-native": "^4.3.9",

Based on our understanding and as a fast solution, we can able to resolve this issue by adding optional chaining operator in CometChatMessageList.tsx

For example:- Original code: Screenshot 2024-06-04 at 13 31 25

Changed code: Screenshot 2024-06-04 at 13 32 08
