as a first step will look into the various online shop offerings / infrastructure and post my recommendations here.

Cool. So, i've compared Shopify, Square, Selz, and OpenCart shop platforms for the required features listed in the text, and shopify (which is what gitcoin is using) offers everything we need at $29/mo - and for commonsstack needs, we won't need to go to a higher tier plan - doesn't add any necessary features.

All i need to get started setting up the shop is for someone to create an account with the basic plan, and to provide me with the login / pw details. Would that be you, @lorelei1 ?

Good News! Shopify integrates with Coinbase Commerce, BitPay and a few other crypto payment processors according to someone in the raidguild discord

We can create a dedicated section for your apparel and also a sub domain or dedicated storefront that you can host directly filtered to only your items (pretty sure that’s possible). We use Shopify as well, which looks like the direction you are going.

griffToday at 4:08 PM I'm trying to keep a small scope i just want to give someone a code to buy some swag on a store for free and then have it appear in their house in a dream world.. they could get a mask that says Commons Stack on it, but i'm happy just with Shirts the next step is to bring in other Commons Stack Friends... 1 hive, dappnode, TE Community, Giveth, etc

If you want to keep this "small scope" and primarily as a way for CS / trusted seed dapps to GIFT schwag, then the easiest path would be for us to have a subdomain on drew's shopify instance, bc all we would have to do is provide graphics for our schwag, ie "commonsstack.raidguild.shopify.com or just a category on the raidguild shopify instance.

The choice then for Trustedseed dapps would be either (ie) dappnode.raidguild.shopify or for TSdapps to just have a category on the commonsstack subdomain

If we view schwag as a potential income source, would be better to have our own instance.

I have nothing against CS being on a shopify subdomain, and trust Drew's quality selection on the items for fulfillment, so all it actually takes is a decision on YOUR part for us to self-provide and manage the shop, or to piggyback on the raidguild shopify.

I woke up this morning with the intent to theme / configure our shopify shop, but now i will wait until this decision is made, and proceed accordingly.

https://shop.metafactory.ai/ is where we would live (either as category or subdomain) I'm in touch with Drew per DM on discord & will iterate with him should that be the direction we decide to go.

I do not view schwag as a potential income source... I see it as a marketing cost.

I would love to piggyback and collab with Drew and raidguild :-D

Shopify-integration exists, Business contact form is in German but I can take the helm for setting up a frictionless collaboration, I just need the signal.

@exiledsurfer You have a handle on design/ How about "better swag"? I am extremely fond of things that are more universal than just shirts. My "Supporter Wardrobe" is larger than my "legit" wardrobe ... I am thinking along the lines of

Hello! reputting life in this issue.. ;) I have set up a store for my own project, and I got excited about the store being on a decentralized platform and you can assign discount based on custom tokens, and set price for different cryptocurrencies. So Griff asked me to check it out and go ahead. I see there has been done a lot already, I would like to know in what stage it is.. Or can I just go ahead with these new platforms.. I will post info here so you guys can check it out.

Origin allowes to pay in crypto and give discount on specific kind of tokens. So purchases can be done with 100% discount on tokens (no matter if they are listed etc.) So it allowes for the community to define which token can be used to get free stuff.

At this moment There is a plugin app with "Printfull" that has an outomatic sistem of logistics etc. Like a classic store but synced with the origin platform.

If we go for this option, products are created on printfull and origin will be used as an interface and specifically for these custom payments methods. It is not possible to run (self hosted and managed) products beside the synced ones. Its printfull all over.

I would love to explore other "links" as apps and I think there will be in the future. I will need help exploring this on a technical level.

Since also Printfull has a limited options for printing in size etc.
