5 months ago agreed the messages being flush with the screen are a bit odd.
Message replies have a couple of design issues on Mac Desktop, I'm not Sure if it's the same for other systems.
The first is, the link is hidden due to the background colour and link colour being the same. The second is, the reply butts up to the edge of the screen which makes me feel I'm missing part of the message. It might be nice to have the same spacing and avatar for replies as the send messages have on the left.
