These changes include:

fixes to and additional test for component and config parsing / resolving
refactoring of codegen to make it suitable for integration with a templating system (cog)
templates for generating category .h file and .xsd files from parsed xml definitions

Build fails - see e-mail regarding issue. This needs correction prior to merge.
