[ ] Allow conversation administrator to specify an end time for the conversation for both commenting and voting, separately
[ ] Show this information in the participation experience
[ ] Let the user know to return often over the course of that time period, perhaps keep the conversation open in a tab, etc

The above words gave me an idea: (Def a separate ticket though, if others think it has merit)

It might be neat to eventually add "browser notifications" for new statements, for when someone leaves tab open. I think these even work when tabs are closed...

_{Heh, having said that, I'm not sure if anyone actually allows their browser to create these notificstions -- I seem to reflexively decline every request :)}

I think @colinmegill meant to make participants more aware that this conversation continues to evolve, so that they themselves keep it open in a tab.

But I like the notifications idea @patcon ! I think the open tab makes more sense in conjunction with some periodic notification. Now, how to make them less irritating.. 🙂
