It would be a lot faster to debug the MONARCH-CAMP integration with an easy way to test single grid cell conditions from MONARCH in a box model. We could:
include the simple mechanism we're testing in MONARCH in the mechanisms folder in PartMC (without the emissions and deposition) and reference these files from MONARCH instead of duplicating them.
improve the current box model to use additional input files that describe the way env conditions (temperature, pressure) and rates (emissions, photolysis, etc.) vary over time. Even though we don't need this for the MONARCH tests, it will be helpful for a general box model and will provide a way to specify the static conditions that exist in MONARCH for one grid cell at one time step.
