Markup in localized strings #57

Some localized strings can contain passages highlighted in bold which can not easily be separated from the rest of the string, e.g.:

"Annotate" replaces any annotations in lines not marked green in the progress area.

Since HTML tags shouldn't be allowed inside localized strings, should we introduce some kind of simple markup for these cases?

Specifically, do we need any other markup except for "bold"?

Interpret basic markup in localized strings, resolves #54

Only bold and italic markup is allowed for now.
