crap. missed this issue. we had a convo here: https://github.com/component/spec/issues/26 consensus is to basically keep things where they are. we've agreed that the ideal structure is to have a single, flat folder of components like lib/*/component.json.

if you guys have any input, add a comment in that thread or an issue in that repo. going to close this for now.
