The study was published in PNAS and uses data from the English Historical Thesaurus.

The data is interesting, since it offers interesting metadata, like number of word senses, number of active word senses, so this is also nice for NoRaRe.

A thorough understanding of the data is needed before mapping it, since much of the info is provided in very small excel sheets.
