Steps for fixing this issue:
Even though this is an older issue, would this be something for Natalia to look at, @LinguList? There are definitely differences with respect to the Russian version of Swadesh-215 in the recent Concepticon and working on an already existing list might be a good entry point.
Yes, it would also be a good exercise for making good references (e.g., having a bibliographic entry with a translation, etc.).
Does the link provided above work for you @LinguList? It doesn't work for me.
Page loads but is strange, do you mean that? I will check later and send data if I manage to get it.
The problem is a cookie that the site wants to set. I had do download the HTML and delete all javascripts.
They offer specifically images.
Typing this off should be done by somebody who knows Russian (maybe myself).
Evgeniya Korovina mentioned this to me: Swadesh made his way to Russia via very influential translations from the 1960s, in particular, the series "novoe v lingvistike", which is digitally available here:
We should add these lists as separate Swadesh lists, as they will reflect, how concepts were interpreted in the Russian world, and I am specifically curious how they treated our problem children, like "burn", "child", and to which degree this then reflects in Jakhontov's list, etc.
