Ideally, @chrzyki, do you think you find time to have a first look at this during the next weeks? Then we can discuss it and see how we divide labor among the calcies etc. As this is also super for other contexts, it is of general interest for the department, I guess.
Sure, will do. Will report next week!
And David, Nick, please indicate if we should officially list anybody else in our CONTRIBUTORS.md.
Ah, @chrzyki and also check this one here (quote from David):
DS Davidson isn't included here; his vocabulary compilation is AILEC 0712 at AIATSIS; should be downloadable from http://aiatsis.gov.au/sites/default/files/catalogue_resources/0712_access.zip

I've just now added Contributers to https://zenodo.org/record/1476467; basically harvested from column headings. David
@chrzyki my LibreOffice on Ubuntu cannot read the excel sheet with the data. Hope you have more luck.
@LinguList @xrotwang @DavidNash1 Likewise, file can't be opened/repaired with LibreOffice 6.1.2.1. We managed to repair/open the file with MS Excel, but we probably now have to verify its contents? See attached file.
hm. looks broken to me. At least I couldn't make any sense of the - seemingly - mis-aligned last two columns.
I downloaded my 'various wordlist schemes 20181101.xlsx' from https://zenodo.org/record/1476467 and opened it OK with LibreOffice 5.4.7 on my Mac OS 10.13. However yes Excel says that it needs to repair the downloaded file. My own copy (as uploaded) opens fine. So I have asked Zenodo Support to replace the file and sent it to them again.

Yes the last two columns yes are not aligned with the rest; there is a vertical border setting off those two columns.
Zenodo Support has now made the replacement at https://zenodo.org/record/1476467; I've re-downloaded it and it opens fine with LibreOffice 6.0.6.2 on Mac OS 10.13, and also with Excel 16.18.
Can confirm, works flawlessly. Thanks for sorting that out so quickly!
@DavidNash1 the last two columns in the file, downloaded from the last link you attached, still seem to be misaligned. Any ideas on how it could be fixed?

Well, there are 3 columns: 1 English : gloss 2 Swadesh 200 : a number 3 Capell 1956:85 Common Australian : Capell's proposed proto form(s) I don't see any misalignment: could you elaborate?

You must be talking about the list from issue #371 but my question here was related to the list of various wordlist schemes (the one, comparing glosses across several lists, see above). Sorry for the confusion.

Well, there is a vertical border setting off those two columns, of Capell's NA (=North Australia) list. In retrospect I realise I should've uploaded those 2 columns as a separate file. To align that pair of columns with another meanings list is a task just like any similar alignment task; I can't think of any shortcut, sorry. But if someone were to write that pair of columns out as a separate file to give a separate life to 'Capell NA' that's fine by me.

We should link the individual lists, but also link the meta-list by David. Important to also list the contributors for this, when doing so, which include David Nash and Nick Thieberger. Before updating this, the links should also be checked back with them both for comments.
