Even better is the open wordnet initiative, as it provides data for some 20 or more wordnets, plus a hand-curated list of "core" synsets: http://compling.hss.ntu.edu.sg/omw/wn30-core-synsets.tab
These could be taken as a reference.
One could use the core list and then link some major wordnets (French: https://gforge.inria.fr/frs/download.php/file/33496/wolf-1.0b4.xml.bz2), and Spanish, if there are, based on this list.
This one is preferable over Princeton wordnet, since it has a free license. It is one example for relations and therefore useful to be included.
