Out of interest, can you give me an example of the kind of option you wouldn't want displayed in the cart?
For my scenario it related to selling tickets. Depending on the type of ticket I could have 15 attributes to be filled in. Whilst these are essential for the type of event, listing them all on the order, especially when there could be a number of them becomes extremely messy, and not user friendly. In my current setup we only display key fields such as first name, last name, and any option that involves cost such as meal tickets and seminar options. Fields such as DOB, gender aren't deemed necessary to be on the order summary.
I hope this helps
That makes a lot of sense, now that I think of it I've hit a similar situation with some event ticket sales we set up back in eCommerce for 5.6
I like this suggestion but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to it.
I'm glad it is something that could add to the system, rather than be an unhelpful bolt on. I wonder if it could be something that is in line with our recent communication.
It may be that not all product options should be displayed on the product in the cart. Suggestion on an additional flag on options to determine if the option should display on the product list in the cart. It should be set to yes by default.
