It is very likely that the current package version for this feedstock is out of date.

Dependency Analysis

Please note that this analysis is highly experimental. The aim here is to make maintenance easier by inspecting the package's dependencies. Importantly this analysis does not support optional dependencies, please double check those before making changes. If you do not want hinting of this kind ever please add bot: inspection: false to your conda-forge.yml. If you encounter issues with this feature please ping the bot team conda-forge/bot.

Analysis by source code inspection shows a discrepancy between it and the the package's stated requirements in the meta.yaml.

Hi! This is the friendly automated conda-forge-linting service.

I just wanted to let you know that I linted all conda-recipes in your PR (recipe) and found it was in an excellent condition.

On Linux is failing because it doesn't find pcl/point_cloud.h see here

however, pcl is listed here

@traversaro do you have any idea?

pcl complains also in macos and windows

GiulioRomualdi commented 1 year ago

@conda-forge-admin please rerender

I am not sure what is happening, but I guess it is related somehow to https://github.com/conda-forge/pcl-feedstock/pull/50 .

Ok, the error now changed to:

The reported errors are:
- Encountered problems while solving:
- - package libbipedal-locomotion-framework-0.11.1-h67af5ff_0 requires pcl >=1.13.0,<1.13.1.0a0, but none of the providers can be installed
-

Basically, C++ part of the package builds fine with pcl 1.13, while the Python part tries to install 1.13 (as it is the one installed by the C++ part) but it can't install, probably due to some other dependency that requires pcl 1.13 . This is probably a by-product of pcl not being pinned in https://github.com/conda-forge/conda-forge-pinning-feedstock .

Probably the issue is more tricky, as there are not a lot of packages that depend on pcl: https://github.com/search?q=org%3Aconda-forge+%22+pcl%22+language%3AYAML&type=code&l=YAML, and none of this package seems to be a dependecy direct or indirect of pcl.

I tried to pin pcl to 1.12 in https://github.com/conda-forge/bipedal-locomotion-framework-feedstock/pull/10/commits/493ac4e441293f631705870393961dcb136dc07b .

traversaro commented 1 year ago

That is strange, even by pinning pcl to 1.12 the build is failing. In the meanwhile, I checked if there are some migration stuck and I noticed assimp525 still ongoing, I tried to unblock it with https://github.com/conda-forge/hpp-pinocchio-feedstock/pull/18 .
