@ocefpaf Okay, so I must confess I really don't quite understand why pathlib is tripping for windows in setup.py for a wheels build... but this my attempt to sweep the issue under the carpet with a patch (reference #42).

I'm slightly unease about my approach here, simply because I don't understand the underlying issue, but I don't readily have an alternative solution up my sleeve... not unless you do?
