Glossary Incomplete #1293

Open SehrishHussain opened 3 years ago

SehrishHussain commented 3 years ago

Need to build Glossary terms from scratch. Only very few terms are listed without proper definition or links. This could be a separate task but an important one.

IMHO Glossary should be a separate entry in sidebar menu, and not under Miscellaneous. Also TODO list doesn't make sense (may be I'm missing something).

beckermr commented 3 years ago

The TODO list is generated from sections in the docs. It won't make sense out of context like this.

Is this still open? I'm an outreachy applicant and would love to work on this

viniciusdc commented 3 years ago

@SehrishHussain Hi, thanks for opening this issue, would you mind citting some terms there are perhaps missing there?

ForgottenProgramme commented 3 years ago

Hey, @viniciusdc ! Let's keep adding entries to the glossary as we come across them in the docs./ For example today I came across this:

That happens because either the correct version of icu, or any other package in the error, is not present or the package is missing altogether.

icu goes into the glossary.

Hi @benny-coy thanks for your interest with conda-forge, this issue was intended to be open for discussion so I will not assign anyone, but fee free to look into our issues labeled with Docs to find something you can work on , If there is an Outreachy label to, that issue is probably assign to someone else, but you are free to open PR's destined to improve the solution even further
