Hm... I am not sure what to think of this
@mkitti do you have an opinion?
I'm a little confused, but it seems that juliaup
has a central configuration somewhere that is not contained within the environment. My understanding is that there is a JULIAUP_DEPOT_PATH
environment variable now that could influence where juliaup configuration is stored and/or managed.

Issue
Hi! Thanks providing this feedstock! I was wondering if it's possible for
juliaup
to actually respect the environment prefix?e.g., if I install
juliaup
on mybase
environment and in another, sayalgorithms-of-the-mind
, when I'm using thealgorithms-of-the-mind
environment and run the following snippet, I get the following output:This is certainly sensible for
juliaup
inbase
, but if I'm installingjuliaup
in a separate environment, it seems like a fair assumption that I don't necessarily care to have package data shared – but most importantly (imo), if I set1.9.3
as the default inalgorithms-of-the-mind
, it also sets1.9.3
as the default inbase
. Of course, one would modify the default Julia being used, but that's not always feasible (particularly if using shebang scripts or autogenerating ipykernels).Installed packages
