I was actually the one who opposed writing one.

It isn't the easiest thing to do. I would prefer to work with miniforge as a whole, and improve the guide there. Does the link to the miniforge page not provide the information you think the users need?

If it's not the easiest thing to do, then definitely don't leave it to projects to write!

The simple guide should show how to install miniforge, set up an environment (with or without bashrc modifications), and then installing packages into it.

I think historically it used to be very aligned with anacondas documentation. Now that may be less true.
