you can choose to follow the instructions it gives you to update.
Or you can ignore it.
I have the same issue. I constantly receive the following warning: ==> WARNING: A newer version of conda exists. <== current version: 23.11.0 latest version: 24.1.2
Please update conda by running
conda update -n base -c conda-forge conda
However, when I try to update using this exact command: (base) C:\Users\username>conda update -n base -c conda-forge conda Channels:
==> WARNING: A newer version of conda exists. <== current version: 23.11.0 latest version: 24.1.2
Please update conda by running
conda update -n base -c conda-forge conda

Issue
conda
command from miniforge (installed by homebrewbrew install miniforge
on Apple Silicon Mac) keeps giving "WARNING: A newer version of conda exists" even though I executed update as instructed:I noticed that from miniforge releases, the latest version actually
23.3.1
, whileconda
from anaconda is23.9.x
.Is this warning expected and should be ignored?
