"Segmentation fault (core dumped)" error when trying to load Python after installing Miniforge #530

Solution to issue cannot be found in the documentation.

Issue

After installing Miniforge locally on a server, when I go to load Python it produces the error "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"

What was the cause of the issue?

It was the result of me ssh-ing to the server using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) which doesn't have X11 forwarding capabilities (that I know of). Instead, I needed to use MobaXterm to login to the sever. After doing this and installing Miniforge the segmentation fault was gone.
