Issue
Sir/Madam
I have been using the Conda-forge install for Octave for a while now on Linux and so far it has worked well.
The 8.4 update is not available. I did some digging an apparently the OSX build is failing. I looked at the log and the error message seems to be a simple code error, but where and how is beyond me. I have no experience with OSX nor do I have an Apple available. If the error is difficult to solve, is it possible to uncouple the Linux and OSX releases so a problem with one system does not affect the other?
Minor point of advice to users: installing cxx-compiler and fortran-compiler together with Octave prevents a lot of problems with pkg. Perhaps you can add these as additional dependencies
