@minrk Please help me. Something fishy is going on with the failed builds. I see two different openmpi versions being installed (4.1.2 and 4.1.3) within the same build.

EDIT: This is surely related to the need to install the compiler wrappers if cross-compiling. I have no idea how to fix it, other an making a fresh rebuild of PETSc first.

I don't know how the cross-compiling works, but the linux64 builds of openmpi 4.1.3 are incompatible with ~everything due to their compiler versions (https://github.com/conda-forge/openmpi-feedstock/issues/94). I would guess this should cause a failure to install, but I don't know how it decides.
