Spyder is not packaged for m1 #128

Solution to issue cannot be found in the documentation.

Issue

It seems that there is not package for osx-arm64.

I think that depends primarily on QT: https://github.com/conda-forge/qt-feedstock/pull/217 Once QT is split up, only PyQT is left (And I think already being worked on) and then Spyder should be possible. I already asked for it in https://github.com/conda-forge/conda-forge-pinning-feedstock/pull/2283 so it should show up on the status page.

@BastianZim summarized the situation pretty well for us. @andfoy (one of our core developers) has been working during the last months on updating Qt/PyQt to 5.15 and, at the same time, creating packages for osx-arm64.

Once that's done, Spyder will be available on that architecture (all our other dependencies have already packages for it).

Yep, you're right. Arm64 packages should be available in three to six hours in the Conda-forge channel.

Actually, the CDN has been doing better so hopefully even sooner! :)
