This package is required for the authentication with the Google Artifact Repository with Python pip packages. That´s why we would like to install it from conda-forge.

Installing this via conda would make my life alot easier since we want to always use our private pypi repo on GCP, but in order to access it we must swap to pypi public to fetch this, install it and then swap back, not to bad once or locally but doing it everywhere is messy
