Had some trouble generating this re-rendering PR as there is a bug ( https://github.com/conda-forge/conda-smithy/issues/389 ) in conda-smithy. However, it is easier to add a workaround than fix it unfortunately. This PR includes the workaround in the first commit and then is re-rendered.

LGTM. The workaround is easy enough and shouldn't have any downsides
