Tesseract 5.0.0 not installing tesseract50.dll

Issue:

• Before, when using previous versions of Tesseract (i.e. 4.1.1), a file called tesseract41.dll was created automatically in env_name\Library\bin, along with the tesseract exe.
• When installing Tesseract 5.0.0 from conda, the tesseract50.dll file is not created. A file called tesseract50.lib is created in env_name\Library\lib, but that is a static file.
• I can use Tesseract from the CLI normally. However, I'm trying to create an API wrapper for Python, and previously used the dll file and ctypes.cdll.LoadLibrary for this. Now, there is no dll, and the lib file isn't recognised as a valid app.
• When building Tesseract from source, the dll is indeed created without any problem. The dll is also created when installing previous versions of Tesseract from conda.

Environment:

• Happens on a fresh install of conda, with Python 3.9 or Python 3.10.

• Windows 11 x64
• conda version: 4.11.0
• Python: 3.10
• Tesseract: 5.0.0

Thanks for raising this issue. I tried enabling shared libraries in https://github.com/conda-forge/tesseract-feedstock/pull/36 . It seems to have gone OK, but I don't have a windows machine to test on. Can you try

conda create -n tesstest -c izahn tesseract

and let me know if that one works?
