For the onlookers, this is the last version that had the python build enabled:

cc: @k-dominik for visibility.
cc: @conda-forge/nifty @conda-forge/python-elf @conda-forge/plant-seg @conda-forge/affogato I'm messaging you all since I've seen that your packages currently have a dependency on vigra. Vigra has been difficult to maintain over the years and I wanted to let you know I intend on dropping python support.
@constantinpape (since i've seen you on many of these feedstocks I wanted to give you an extra bump in case you aren't subscribed to the other handles)
Comment:
Unfortunately, I cannot get vigra+numpy to work with modern compilers.
See failures in https://github.com/ukoethe/vigra/pull/547
and larger discussion https://github.com/conda-forge/vigra-feedstock/pull/131#issuecomment-2021534933
For now, there is large overlap between conda-forge maintainers and those with pull access on the upstream repo. Thus fixes are appreciated in the upstream repository to benefit the community as a whole.
