Hi @geofrunz,
Thanks for filing this issue. Is there a reason you have the following channels defined in your .condarc
file?
- python3.6/linux-64
- python3.1
- python
- python3.6
Those channels are not normally necessary. I doubt that the python3.1
even exists, which is most likely why you are seeing that error.
To remedy this, simply remove those lines.
Thank you so much, It solved the problem. Actually, I don't know when they were added... surely I didn't do it actively, maybe during the installation of some packages. Thank you again Giovanni

What happened?
Dear All, I'm trying to install some libraries using Conda, but every time I try I get the following message (regardless of the package I'm trying to install (Spades, GATK, predicthaplom etc):
Collecting package metadata (current_repodata.json): failed
UnavailableInvalidChannel: HTTP 404 NOT FOUND for channel python3.1 https://conda.anaconda.org/python3.1
The channel is not accessible or is invalid.
You will need to adjust your conda configuration to proceed. Use
conda config --show channels
to view your configuration's current state, and useconda config --show-sources
to view config file locations. It happened quite suddenly. everything was working fine and then this problem start to appear. Does anybody have any idea how to solve it?
