add funding and move to emeritus to bring us back to proper steering membership #58

Open beckermr opened 2 years ago

beckermr commented 2 years ago

As our new governance in #51 has passed, we are now in the situation where we likely have exceeded some limits on people per funder and most steering committee members do not have their funder listed.

I am opening this issue to track the changes so we can get back to business.

@conda-incubator/steering Please add your funding state and work amongst yourselves to adjust things!

I have reached out to both the Quansight members, and the Anaconda members, which I believe are the only two blocks still over our new maximums.

I (or maybe @jezdez) will be updating the spreadsheets with the Anaconda updates in the next week. I can also add the pronouns column (discussed in Slack) at that time.

If any steering council members would like me to add their funding (and optional pronouns) at the same time, then please let me know. (You could post that information here.)

Gentle reminder to @conda-incubator/steering to update their entry of the steering.csv file.

@xhochy @CJ-Wright @mariusvniekerk @ericdill @mbargull @wolfv Please submit your funding information as soon as possible to https://github.com/conda-incubator/governance/blob/de408afb36560eba36cf35b7e30fa251888aa467/steering.csv to finalize this ticket. Thank you!

@cj-wright @mariusvniekerk @ericdill @mbargull @wolfv This is a more formal reminder to update your funder status in the steering.csv file of this repo. This is a requirement following the passing of the last governance policy update. Thank you!

it is still not clear to me what "funder" means. if my involvement with the conda governance is not part of my day job, is it really relevant who that employer is?

edit: missed a key word in there: "not"
