Guess what, guys: the old gang may not be around forever. We need measures
in place in the event of an emergency and to allow us to adapt to changing
situations. Distributed source control helps on the developer side. The
idea of having a server chooser and independent databases has been thrown
around (shoddy-like), and I am in favor of it.
By moving away from a central, all-important server, we can ensure our
survival and keep at least a percentage of the accounts intact in a disaster.
Sienide also wants to have multiple sites and communities. I'm a bit more
iffy on this one, but I can see the reasoning. We already have several
potential backups in place.
