Bar shows nothing #14

My statusbar in spectrwm shows nothing. Its just a blank bar. I can change the colors but still there is nothing displayed.

I tried a lot of parameters in .spectrwm.conf but nothing changed it. I copied .spectrwm.conf-files from other systems (where the bar was working perfectly) but still nothing.

I compiled spectrwm again without effect.

Do you have any additional hint where I could have a look?

I am running spectrwm V2.3.0 on FreeBSD 9.1 with X.Org X Server 1.12.4. I compiled spectrwm from source using the ports-system.

OK, I found the problem. I had export LANG=de_DE.ISO8859-15 in my ~/.xinitrc.

It seems that this set is not supported. I changed LANG to de_DE.ISO8859-1 and now it is working.

Could you please include support for the €-sign?

It is already supported. Try setting your locale to UTF-8 and make sure you are using a font that includes the glyphs that you want.
