I can usually reproduce the problem by doing this:

1- Use xrandr / arandr util to setup multiple-monitor 2- Use slock to lock the screen

The, see screenshot below (Th:is is gimp, but most UI's seem affected (emacs, thunar, etc)

Anyone else has seen this?

Looks like this is an issue with slock. Closing.
