Proposal to Allocate 5 ETH of Treasury Funds to a Community-Driven Marketing Campaign

Overview:

The DAO treasury currently holds 23.7 ETH after transferring 10 ETH to the first ladder contract. We propose allocating 5 ETH to accomplish the following objectives:

1) Aid the onboarding of participants in the lead up to the first ladder. 2) Increase awareness of and interest in Bigcap.
3) Increase trading volume of $BIGCAP token.

This will be a marketing effort driven by the community, which is separate from and additional to any official marketing efforts planned by the Bigcap team.

Multisig wallet:

We will transfer 5 ETH from the DAO treasury (0x528fB7f75384eC26c1a65C088B637F0d1bf35702) to a Gnosis safe multisignature wallet. Transactions will require 2/3 signers and any signer will have the ability to move funds. All of the signers will have Signata on-chain proof of KYC.

Strategy:

We will hire a chief marketing officer to lead a marketing campaign that includes the following: 1) Creation of a content plan and campaign strategy. 2) Creation and distribution of professional-grade media, such as videos, infographics, articles, and twitter threads. 3) Partnership with key opinion leaders and influential outlets. 4) Extension and outreach to broaden our community.

@CryptoNathan of www.defimarketing.nl will act as the marketing middle man, the de facto CMO, coordinating with influencers and other marketing efforts. Nathan has been vouched for by people involved in Bigcap. Nathan has also been part of the Bigcap community for a couple of months and is a token holder, so he has increased incentive to push marketing. His marketing agency has been involved in some prominent projects and has strong connections in the space. We are setting aside 1.65 eth of the total 5 eth to pay Nathan.

Community members possess diverse skillsets, such as video editing, animation, and writing, which will be incorporated into the CMO's strategy for improved cost-effectiveness and speed. Where suitable, content will be created in-house for free. -Community members are working for their bags and don't expect compensation from the marketing fund

• Set up your proposed Gnosis Safe, with the 3 KYC'd addresses
• List the types of items you will be paying for, and keep a record of how much and what you paid for so there's some accountability to the community.
• Identify any fees paid to yourselves, if any, for the time/effort in setting this up.

Once you have the addresses and the Gnosis Safe set up then that safe's address can be used to target the proposal in Tally

Some questions the holders might want answers to before going ahead with this proposal:

• Will the expenditure of the 5 Eth be transparent for all to see? / ie will you tell holders what a specific tx was for if asked?
• Which influencers do you have in mind?
• Do you have experience of commissioning influencers? / How will you quantify their effectiveness?
• The majority of influencers have very little effect in between bull cycles, and often the few who do have are the ones that you can't actually commission, so how will you ensure this will bring results and won't just be a waste of 5 Eth?
• Who is the CMO who has been mentioned / what is his previous experience?
• How much of the 5 ETH budget will be allocated to the CMO approx?
• How much will the community member content creators be paid? / How much of the budget will be allocated?
• How much of the budget will be allocated to paying the influencers?

This proposal was raised to brainstorm and nothing is set in stone yet. Currently we have two offers which we want to carefully analyze and do our due diligence and differ greatly about the allocation of the money. What I can outlay is that none of the community members will get any of this money. We do it for the community (call it work for our bags) Once we have formalized a specific offer, we let you guys know more.

Some answers to the above questions:

-We will track the expenses and keep spending as transparent as we can. Some influencers may not want their wallets exposed. These details aren't fully figured out yet.

-We do have a working list of potential influencers. However, influencer endorsement is only one strategy among many that will be used. We also have access to raid armies, professional-quality media, various news outlets, etc. A more grassroots approach will be more cost-effective than solely relying on influencers.

-The specific costs of influencers is still being determined. We will work within the budget.

-Re influencers having little effect in the current market: there are projects being successfully pushed by influencers in the current market. Multiple projects on eth have reached 10M-50M market cap over the last month. Influencers have played an important role in this success. Nathan has connections with these influencers. Additionally, we could have more bullish market conditions ahead.

-Community members are working for their bags and don't expect compensation from the marketing fund.
