Lidar point cloud viewer issues #2

The point cloud becomes unresponsive if open for more than a couple of minutes. Additionally, for a selected point to be recorded it needs to be selected for ~2 seconds before being cleared, which is lame.

This is really stumping me. Did a bit of a workaround with 4b3c22472f0cfb1665cca61b6240cd03eb44b7a0, but this still needs to be improved. Could be an issue with two processes trying to share the same resources?
