Vertical rhythm and spacing between elements is something that should be easily and universally defined. Using techniques such as the Lobotomized Owl Selector and Modular Scale we can make this a simple thing to adjust on our sites.

As part of this development, as a result of #68, we will need to change how the standard grid applies padding and top margins to rows and columns. When the gutterWidth is set to 0, the spacing around rows and on the sides of the page collapses.

I noticed today that by default lists in Phoenix don't receive the same vertical margins as paragraphs when used in body copy, which to my eye looked a little off. I did a little reading of type/baseline/vertical rhythm articles I'd seen in the past to see how they were handling things. Probably all good resources in working through this issue, if they are a bit old:
