I thought RFC 3339 was a pure subset of ISO 8601 but it's not. i thought there was value in specifying this against timestamps we are allowed to read without paying ISO money but alas. we've already had some confusion around this with folks sending timestamps which are rfc3339 but not parsable by OSIRAA.
