Compilation error on newest Flutter stable (3.24.0) #55

I am getting an error when compiling a newly generated project with flutter_qr_bar_scanner added to pubspec.yaml. Error only happens when building a release Android apk:

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':flutter_qr_bar_scanner:verifyReleaseResources'.
> A failure occurred while executing com.android.build.gradle.tasks.VerifyLibraryResourcesTask$Action
   > Android resource linking failed
     ERROR:/Users/myuser/Documents/dev/sandbox/build/flutter_qr_bar_scanner/intermediates/merged_res/release/values/values.xml:229: AAPT: error: resource android:attr/lStar not found.
