Is your enhancement related to a problem? Please describe

When I open podman-desktop I see a badge in the tray that says it uses my location. The article below doesn't say anything about location. https://developers.redhat.com/article/tool-data-collection Screenshot 2024-10-03 095449

Describe the solution you'd like

It should be obvious how my location is used

Which version of Podman Desktop ? What is the tool that displays this notification ? Might be related to Electron

goremykin commented 1 week ago

@jeffmaury, Podman Desktop v1.12.0. Windows shows an icon in the tray when Location is used. Windows 24h2, not sure about older versions. So when I start Podman Desktop I can see it for a few seconds and then it disappears. Also I just found this in settings: image

I'm using 23H2 but had localization disabled. Set settings like yours but don't see the notification. Will check with 24H2

@jeffmaury, The "Lets desktop apps access your location" toggle was enabled. I turned it off after I noticed the icon. Sorry for the confusion.

Will check with 24H2

It would be nice, thanks!
