stop and start the podman

You need more specific than that. IT is not clear what commands are used when this happens.

In general I cannot see what podman has to do with remote desktop. Are you logged in via remote desktop when this happens?

rmscottelv commented 2 weeks ago

My understanding this is on a company controlled virtual desktop / DAAS using windows 11. When the command podman machine start is invoked, 2 alert messages for Remote Desktop Has Stopped working is observed. If you close the alerts they come back immediately. If you stop podman via podman machine stop, then close the alerts they stay closed.

Podman appears to work if you just minimize the alerts, but is super annoying.

podman machine starts/stops a wsl2 instance. I don't see how this relates to the remote desktop at all. I guess you can try to create your own wsl2 instance and start/stop that one to see check if you see the issue with that as well.

tppalani commented 2 weeks ago

Hi @Luap99 can you guide me how to create own wsl?
