Easiest way is just to add the code direct to html template. Could you mark on screenshot - where to place?
I think roughly it'll be in the right sidebar, below the links to archives and social. I'm basing this off of this blog http://blogs.skicelab.com/maurizio/ by the pelican-octopress developer since that's how it'll (hopefully) look.
I'd also want to try embedding the associated twitter feed for this account in roughly the same place (directly below the signup form). Here was the code generated by twitter. If this default code doesn't look good out of the box, can also
